WINDSURFING

Known as the windsurfing capital of the world, Oregon’s Hood River is the perfect place for windsurfing. The gorge receives high velocity winds—sometimes up to 70mph. The Columbia River Gorge has easy access from Hood River with options for novices or experts alike. MULTNOMAH FALLS

Located just 30 minutes outside of Portland is Multnomah Falls, Oregon’s tallest waterfall at 611 feet. The falls attract visitors of all types and ages, with wheelchair-accessible viewing platforms and more advanced hiking trails leading all the way to the top. The fall’s steady stream runs year-round, with the highest volume in winter and spring with a partial freeze in winter. The Multnomah Falls Lodge has excellent views and is home to a restaurant, gift shop, espresso bar, and U.S. Forest Service interpretive center.

MT HOOD RAILROAD

Mount Hood Railroad is a century-old, short line railroad offering scenic passenger excursions through Northern Oregon.
